A pioneer of the electronic testing industry, Wayne, N.J., resident Joseph Federico has made significant contributions to the field through his role with NJMET. An expert in a wide variety of electronic testing specialty areas, Joseph Federico has made particular strides in the area of counterfeit component testing. Specifically, Joseph Federico developed the world’s first and foremost electronic counterfeit component detection program, which uses a series of physical, electrical, and metallurgical tests to detect counterfeit or cloned electronic components. Joseph Federico’s innovative technology has had a considerable impact on electronic testing at an international level and he has been invited by leading electronic, aerospace, and military entities in Europe, Russia, China, and Israel to speak about the program. In addition to his work on NJMET’s flagship technologies, Joseph Federico operates as an integral member of the company’s executive management team. A results-driven leader, Joseph Federico serves as the Vice President and Director of Operations. In these capacities, Joseph Federico works diligently to streamline effective growth strategies to meet overarching business objectives. Since joining the Clifton, N.J.-based NJMET team in 1978, Joseph Federico has led global expansion efforts, opening additional offices in California, Colorado, England, and Hong Kong. Highly respected throughout the industry, Joseph Federico has been recognized with a number of honors and recognitions, including the Israeli ODEM award. Joseph Federico also helped NJMET to become the United States Small Business Administration Region II Subcontractor of the Year. On a recent television special hosted by William Shatner, Joseph Federico and the team at NJMET were recognized for their accomplishments and presented with the “Keeping America Strong” award. Passionate about the NJMET mission, Joseph Federico has lectured on electronic testing, certification, and distribution in venues around the world.
